Christian Symbols: Christmas Ornaments The word Chrismon™ is a registered trademark of the Ascension Lutheran Church of Danville, Virginia. This page originally contained a description of Christograms that go by that name, along with a history of the origin of Christian symbols as Christmas tree decorations. We had asked and received permission from Ascension Lutheran Church to use the word on this page. However, representatives of the church have now requested that we not use the term as a title for the page or provide a history of its origin since they have developed a web page with that information. So, we have removed that portion of this page and renamed it to conform to the legal request of Ascension Lutheran Church. |
